Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. The following cancellation and refund conditions apply to experiences booked with Lappiland Oy.

Lappiland Experiences

Unless different cancellation conditions are clearly stated for a specific experience, the following policy applies:
-Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled start of the experience are eligible for a full refund.
-Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled start are non-refundable.
-No-shows are non-refundable.
-Requests to change the booking date must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled start and are subject to availability.

Northern Lights Experiences & Aurora Guarantee

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. Their visibility, intensity, colour and duration cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
Eligible Northern Lights experiences are covered by the Lappiland Aurora Guarantee. If the conditions of the Aurora Guarantee are not met during your experience, you may choose either:
-to reschedule your Northern Lights experience to another available date; or
-to receive a full refund of the eligible Northern Lights experience.
For Standard, Private and Proposal Northern Lights experiences, a successful Aurora experience means that our guide is able to capture a photograph of you with the Northern Lights during the tour.
For the Photography Northern Lights Tour, the guarantee is fulfilled when you are able to capture a photograph of the Northern Lights during the tour with the guidance of your Lappiland guide.
Rescheduling is subject to availability. The Aurora Guarantee does not guarantee any particular Aurora intensity, colour, shape or duration.

Cancellations by Lappiland

LappiLand may modify, reschedule or cancel an experience due to unsafe weather or road conditions, insufficient snow, technical or operational reasons, safety concerns, official restrictions or other circumstances that prevent the experience from being operated safely or reasonably.
If Lappiland cancels an experience and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled experience.
Changes to routes, locations, departure times or the reasonable duration of an experience caused by weather, road, snow or safety conditions do not in themselves constitute a cancellation.

Husky & Reindeer Experiences

Husky and reindeer experiences offered by LappiLand are operated by independent local partners and may be subject to different cancellation and refund conditions.
Where different conditions apply, they will be communicated in connection with the relevant experience or booking.
Weather, snow, trail conditions, safety considerations and animal welfare may require the operator to modify, reschedule or cancel an experience.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be returned using the original payment method whenever possible.
The time required for a refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
