Wild Kemijoki was created from a simple belief: a husky experience should be built around the wellbeing of the dogs not around how many guests can pass through in a day.
Their huskies are not just working dogs. They are family members, companions and athletes, each with their own personality.
This is a small, family-run kennel where the dogs run because they love to run and guests are invited to experience a real part of that life.

AFTER THE RIDE
The adventure doesn’t end when the sled stops.
After the ride, there’s time to thank the real stars of the experience the huskies. Meet the dogs, spend some time with them and take a few photos together.
Then warm up inside a traditional Finnish kota, where you can relax by the fire with a warm traditional wild berry drink and a small sweet treat.

TRANSPORT FROM LEVI
Transport is not included in the experience price.
Optional round-trip transport from Levi Visitor Center is available for €25 per person and must be booked separately.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few things to know before heading out with the huskies.
01. YOU DRIVE THE SLED
This is a hands-on experience. You’ll learn the basics before heading onto the trail with your own team of huskies.
02. DRESS FOR THE ARCTIC
Warm winter clothing, gloves and proper winter footwear are essential. You’ll be outdoors in real Arctic conditions.
03. WEATHER & TRAIL CONDITIONS
Distance and duration can vary slightly depending on snow, weather and trail conditions. The wellbeing of the dogs always comes first.
04. CHILDREN & SLED RULES
Children under 14 cannot drive the sled. Guests aged 14 and over may be allowed to drive with parental consent, but the final decision is always made by the guide based on the guest’s height, weight and current trail conditions.
05. DOGS & SAFETY COME FIRST
If temperatures drop below -32°C or the trail conditions are not safe for the dogs, the experience may be cancelled or rescheduled.
